Higher Logic Closes $55M Investment from JMI Equity

HL-logoHigher Logic, a Washington, DC-based online community platform provider, closed a $55m investment from JMI Equity.

JMI Equity made the investment. In conjunction with the deal, Bob Nye, a general partner at JMI Equity, joined Higher Logic’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds for research and development, strategic services, sales, marketing, and business development.

Led by CEO Rob Wenger and president and co-founder Andy Steggles, Higher Logic provides a cloud-based community platform for nonprofits to create online communities that increase the value and relevance of the organization to members, customers and partners.
The platform handles over 25 million engaged members in more than 200,000 communities.
