Garden Girl, an Åtvidaberg, Sweden-based site that sells self-designed garden clothing and equipment specially designed for women, raised SEK6m in funding.
Backers included private investors from Sweden and Germany.
The company intends to use the funds to expand marketing efforts in Sweden, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and in the United States.
Founded in 1997 by Petra Maison, CEO, Garden Girl designs, manufactures and sells functional gardening clothes, tools and shoes specially designed for women. The products are sold both through its own web store and through other retailers, both physically and online.
The company, which has been growing profitably since inception, generated sales SEK 10.5m in 2015.
