Alkemics Raises €20M in Series B Funding

alkemicsAlkemics, a Paris, France-based smart data software platform, raised €20m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Cathay Capital and Serena Capital with participation from Index Ventures, Partech Ventures, and SEB Alliance.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations in Europe and increase sales, marketing and technology development efforts.

Co-founded by Antoine Durieux, Antoine Perrin and Benoit Portoleau-Balloy, Alkemics provides retailers and CPG manufacturers with an omni-channel retail intelligence platform to collect, enrich, and share data across the retail ecosystem. Its cloud-based, maintenance-free platform – pre-configured for grocery retail – automates management of digital product content (i.e., packaging, ingredients, visuals, promotions, rich media), extracts metadata to normalize for optimal quality, and streamlines delivery to trading partners and third party service providers.
