S3 Ventures, an Austin, Texas-based early, expansion and growth stage venture capital firm, closed its sixth fund, at $75m.
Led by Brian R. Smith, Steve Banks, Rajiv Bala, Charlie Plauche, Aaron Perman and Suhail Malhotra, the firm focuses on investing in Southwest (with a focus on Texas)-based companies developing information technology solutions that solve large business problems and medical devices that improve the human condition.
Investment sizes start at several million or more for Series A, B & C rounds.
To date, S3 has invested in several portfolio companies including Alkami Technology, Datical, Favor, Iconixx, Invodo, Kimbia, Metal Networks, OrthoAccel, OutboundEngine, Packet Design, Phunware, Pivot3, Pristine, Qualia, Tango Health, TVA Medical and VUV Analytics.
