SoftBank Launches Second Edition of Innovation Program

SoftBank_Corp._LogoSoftBank Corp., a subsidiary of SoftBank Group Corp. (TOKYO:9984), launched a second round for its program that seeks a wide range of innovative solutions and technologies from around the world to consider for commercialization.

The SoftBank Innovation Program aims is to combine innovative solutions and technologies of other companies with SoftBank’s own resources.
It selects applications and then provides funding for prototype development, environments for test marketing and other forms of assistance.
Based on the test marketing results, SoftBank considers product or service commercialization.

The second round of the program is open to:
– Smart Homes,
– Connected Vehicles,
– Healthcare,
– FinTech,
– VR (virtual reality), AR (augmented reality), and MR (mixed reality), and
– Drones.

Applications – from organizations of all sizes, from startups to big corporations from any country – will be accepted at the SoftBank Innovation Program official website through September 30, 2016 (JST).

Applicants must be able to interview in Tokyo or the US.
