Fintech, Octopus Investments Launches Octopus Labs

octopuslabsUK-based venture capital firm Octopus Investments has launched Octopus Labs, a new incubator and accelerator program dedicated purely on fintech.

Led by Richard Wazacz, Octopus Labs will support startups through the new accelerator program, as well as will develop new fintech products in-house, acting as a startup studio. It will open up its network and distribution channels up to cohort businesses and products. Successful businesses can be invested in, or ‘spun-in’, by Octopus Investments.
It has already developed its first ‘self-built’ fintech startup, Octopus Choice, a p2p lending solution provider.

Applications for the 12-week corporate fintech accelerator, which will provide mentoring services, central London office space, and access to Octopus Investments’ distribution channels of financial advisers and investors, are now open until 16 September, with activity starting in early October.
Businesses can apply online here.

* Octopus Labs is a wholly separate business with a completely separate team to the Octopus Ventures team.
