EES Ventures Closes Inaugural Fund, at €4.16M

EES Ventures, a Houston, TX-based venture capital firm investing in companies impacting energy, efficiency, and sustainability (EES), recently closed its maiden fund, at €4.16m.

According to a recent regulatory form filed with the SEC, 23 investors participated in the offering of EES Ventures I, LP.

Led by Nick Slavin, Managing Partner, Sean Kellman, Partner, Eden Full, Director of New Technology, EES backs seed and early stage companies that impact energy, efficiency, and sustainability (EES), including those bringing innovation to energy, including analytics, distributed resources, and the information side of energy; those creating efficiencies in fundamental areas and those using new technologies to create sustainable outcomes.
The firm works by leveraging relationships locally and across the country with entrepreneurs, executives, venture capitalists, angel investors, universities, technologists, designers, startup incubators and accelerators.

Advisory Board members include Paul Anastas, Daniel Kammen, Olav Sorenson, Nova Spivack and Jonathan Zittrain.
