Corporate Catering Company ZeroCater Raises $4.1M

zerocaterZeroCater, a San Francisco, CA-based corporate catering company, raised $4.1m in funding.

Backers included Romulus Capital and Struck Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its product and engineering teams.

Founded in 2009 by Arram Sabeti and an accelerated in Y Combinator in 2011, ZeroCater provides a concierge corporate catering service, bringing local food vendors onsite to clients’ offices. The company partners with independent restaurants, food trucks, and private chefs to bring meals to offices in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, Chicago, Washington, DC, and Austin.
In August 2015, ZeroCater announced that it had surpassed $100 million in sales. It has continued to grow over the past year, now serving over 1,000 companies tens of thousands of meals each day.
