The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
As part of the deal, Zaption will shut down its platform on September 30, 2016.
Led by Chris Walsh, Zaption provided a publishing platform that turned passive video into active learning experiences to allow teachers, trainers, and students at all levels to add images, text, quiz questions, and discussions to existing videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and private video libraries.
These interactive learning tours were privately shared via a link or embedded in any learning management system. The company also provided analytics tools to track all learner activity for teachers to get immediate, actionable data to improve instruction and personalize learning.
