-

workdayWorkday, a Pleasanton, CA-based provider of enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources, acquires Zaption, a San Francisco, CA-based online learning company.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

As part of the deal, Zaption will shut down its platform on September 30, 2016.
Led by Chris Walsh, Zaption provided a publishing platform that turned passive video into active learning experiences to allow teachers, trainers, and students at all levels to add images, text, quiz questions, and discussions to existing videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and private video libraries.
