San Rafael, California-based early stage venture capital firm Sienna Ventures has launched a new $100m fund.
The fund was created to invest in mid-sized capital efficient companies.
Led by James Bernard, S. David Smith, Gary Hawkins, Chris Lancey and Alan Armstrong, Managing Directors, Sienna Ventures focuses on investing in companies in need of investments between $5m and $25m. The firm also partners with other investors including private equity firms to provide growth capital for a wide range of mid-sized companies as a minority investor.
Focus areas include software, medical technology, wireless communications, Internet infrastructure, cloud computing, ecommerce and networking.
