Network Locum Raises £5.3M in Venture Capital

network-locum-logo-blueNetwork Locum, a London, UK-based online platform for GP locums to connect and find work with practices directly, raised £5.3m in funding.

BGF Ventures made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to launch its mobile app and augment its sales force.

Led by Melissa Morris, CEO, Network Locum is an online network that matches doctors with empty shifts in hospitals & GP practices. The site stores everything practices need to know about a doctor. Once they’ve been accepted for the first job, necessary documents and information (that they will have uploaded) will become available to them. Doctors also have the ability to negotiate job rates and times directly with the practice manager before applying.

Launched four years ago, Network Locum has built a database of 40k doctors across Britain.
