Norwest Equity Partners, a Minneapolis, MN-based middle market investment firm, has promoted Andrew Cantwell to Partner.
Since 2006, Cantwell has played a meaningful role in both the buy-side and sell-side investment process for the firm.
In his role at NEP, he is involved with all aspects of the investment process including sourcing and leading investment opportunities, performing due diligence, structuring transactions, and arranging debt financing. Cantwell is also involved at the board level with several of NEP’s current portfolio companies, working with management teams on strategic planning and execution and other operational initiatives.
His current board memberships include Edge Fitness, Marco, Minnesota Rubber & Plastics, Movati Athletic, and Stanton Carpet Corporation. Past investments for Andy include Imperial Supplies, Lindstrom Metric, and Momentum Group.
Cantwell previously worked at Northwestern Mutual Capital in the firm’s Private Equity and Mezzanine Group. His career experience also includes working as a Vice President at ABN AMRO where he led and closed multiple leveraged and project finance transactions, totaling over $7 billion, across North America, Latin America, and Asia.
