Black Bear Energy, a Boulder, CO-based technology-enabled energy services company that represents commercial renewable energy buyers, completed a $2.5m Series A round of financing.
The round was led by Boulder Ventures with participation from seed investor Rocky Mountain Institute.
The company intends to use the funds to advance its software capabilities and expand its offerings to renewable energy buyers.
Co-founded by Drew Torbin and Kim Saylors-Laster, Black Bear Energy is a buyer’s representative, serving large property owners and users in their procurement of renewable energy and clean technology.
The company, which is currently serving clients with over one billion square feet of property, is accelerating the adoption of clean energy among commercial and industrial properties.
