Nutritional Coaching Solution Ava Raises $3M in Seed Funding

avaAva, a Boston, MA-based personalized, data-driven nutritional coaching solution, raised $3m in seed funding.

The round was led by DCM Ventures, with participation from Khosla Ventures and Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors, among others.

The company intends to use the funds for continued development of its technology and expansion of its nutritional science team.

Led by CEO and co-founder Ian Brady, Ava is advancing an intelligent eating platform that aims to enable people to improve their nutritional decision making process. Founded in 2016 by nutritional experts and innovators in data science, including previous co-founders of SoFi, The Grommet, Monster.com and senior executives from Fiksu, Santander Bank and The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the company currently is in private beta.
