Career Site The Muse Closes $16M Series B Funding

the-muse-logoThe Muse, a NYC-based career site for Millennials and beyond, closed a $16m Series B funding.

The round was led by Icon Ventures with participation from current investors Aspect Ventures, DBL Partners and QED Investors. In conjunction with the funding, Tom Mawhinney, General Partner of Icon Ventures, will join The Muse’s board.

The company, which has raised $28.7m in total, intends to use the funds to expand into new markets, scale the business across employer product suites, career advice tools, and its recently launched professional development platform, Coach Connect.

Co-Founded by Kathryn Minshew and Alexandra Cavoulacos, The Muse operates a career site featuring advice, skills-building resources, and coaching services to passive and active candidates.
With hiring partners including companies such as Facebook, Dropbox, Zappos, Slack, Goldman Sachs, HBO, Wells Fargo, The Gap, Target, KPMG, Conde Nast, Aflac and AT&T, the company currently serves more than 40 markets.
