Woo Raises Additional $2M in Funding

woo_logoWoo, a San Francisco, CA- and Tel Aviv-based platform that allows tech talent to gauge their market value, raised $2m in further funding.

The company, which has raised $4.35m in total funding, intends to use the funds to accelerate growth across major U.S. tech hubs (San Francisco, New York/Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles and San Diego) as well as to expand the types of tech positions served by its platform to include marketing, sales and business development positions.

Led by Liran Kotzer, co-founder and CEO, Woo has built a platform that allows software engineers, developers, product managers, QAs, DevOps and designers, who are curious about the market demand for their skillset and experience to get a reality check on specific opportunities for relocation, promotion, salary increase, the ability to work on emerging technologies (i.e., robotics, VR, AI), etc.
When a potential tech employer is interested, and also agrees to meet an individual worker’s key expectations, Woo allows the company to approach the individual. But it’s up to the individual whether they remain anonymous or proceed with the interested company.
Launched into the San Francisco Bay Area in February 2016, Woo has close to 7,000 tech professionals on the invite-only service.
