The Sardinia Region has launched a €10m venture capital fund to support innovative companies.
The fund, created and operated within SFIRS SpA, will make equity co-investments (along with private investors) and direct minority investments in innovative SMEs.
The new vehicle, which will support the launch (seed capital to evaluate and launch and develop the business idea) and the first stage of growth (startup capital to develop the product and initial go-to-market initiatives), of the backed companies.
It has a duration of 4 years to 2020.
