Runa Capital, a Moscow, Russia, and San Francisco, CA-based venture capital firm, held the final close of its second fund, at $135m.
Runa Capital Fund II focuses on making Series A and B investments in USA and Europe-based companies with have global potential. Target industries include complex software and cloud for SMB, edtech, public services, fintech and healthtech. To date, the fund has invested in 13 companies.
Led by Dmitry Chikhachev, Serguei Beloussov, Ilya Zubarev, Andre Bliznyuk, Peter Bauert, and Gaidar Magdanurov, the firm invests from $1m to $10m in each company with the average investment size being approx. $3m. To date, Runa Capital has invested in 43 companies including NGINX, Zopa, LendingRobot, MariaDB, Ecwid, etc.
As a result of this close, the firm will have $270m under management.
