Stratajet, a London, UK-based booking platform that provides travellers with real-time and accurate private jet prices, raised $8m in funding.
The round was led by Octopus Ventures, with participation from existing investors Playfair Capital and JamJar Investments.
The company, which has raised $14m to date, intends to use the funds to further develop its intelligent quoting tool and expand operations, firstly in the USA.
Founded in 2010 by ex-commercial pilot Jonny Nicol, CEO, and launched to the flying public in April 2016, Stratajet provides a real-time private jet booking platform which leverages technology to show operator availability and prices direct to the public (via an iOS app) without manual interaction.
The company’s inventory management software integrates with an aircraft operator’s existing system and features advanced quoting and CRM tools. Stratafleet – the intelligent quoting tool, is provided free of charge to aircraft operators.
The platform is currently live in 44 countries across Europe.
