Octopus Ventures Hires Mobile Gaming Entrepreneur Eyal Rabinovich

London, UK-based venture capital firm Octopus Ventures has hired mobile gaming entrepreneur Eyal Rabinovich.

In 2008, Rabinovich co-founded PlayScape, an Israel-based data-driven games publisher. As VP for Business Affairs, he was responsible for establishing strategic partnerships with Google, Amazon, NTT DoCoMo and Orange, as well as managing digital marketing and business development activities.

Led by Alex Macpherson, Octopus Ventures has invested in over 60 companies, including Conversocial, graze.com, LoveFiLM, Property Partner, Secret Escapes, Sofar Sounds, SwiftKey, Swoon Editions, Uniplaces, tails.com, Zoopla Property Group and Zynstra.
The firm, which recently raised an additional £100m, invests from £250k to £25m in the first funding and will look to follow in subsequent rounds.
