Longitude Capital to Raise $525M Venture Capital Fund

longitude-capital_logoLongitude Capital, a private equity investment firm that focuses on venture growth investments in drug development and medical technology, is to raise a new fund.

According to a regulatory document filed with the SEC, the firm is seeking $525m for Longitude Venture Partners III, L.P..

The form lists Juliet Tammenoms Bakker and Patrick Enright as people releated to the offering.

Founded in 2006, Longitude Capital builds portfolios of mid-stage to commercial-stage companies with clinically de-risked assets that are likely to achieve value-creating milestones within three-to-five years. Beyond traditional venture capital investments, the firm also invests in spin-outs, recapitalizations, PIPEs, royalties and structured transactions, across both privately-held and publicly-traded companies.

Beyond Tammenoms Bakker and Enright, Longitude’s team includes Sandip Agarwala, Marc-Henri Galletti, Gregory Grunberg, David Hirsch, Carolyn Helms, Mark Chin, Andrew ElBardissi, Oren Isacoff, Perry Clarkson, Michaela Parnell, Dylan Harmon and David Li.
