Locus Raises $2.75M in Series A Funding

Mara Labs Inc., a Jerseycity, NJ- and Bangalore, India-based provider of Locus, a logistics management platform, raised $2.75m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Exfinity Venture Partners with participation from Blume Ventures and BeeNext and Rajesh Ranavat, MD of Fung Capital, as well as existing investors. In conjunction with the funding, Balakrishnan V, Exfinity Venture Partners chairman and former CFO of Infosys, will join Locus’ board.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the platform and expand its team.

Founded in March 2015 by Nishith Rastogi and Geet Garg, Locus provides a SaaS-based platform to manage intra-city logistics, which features such tools as route planning engine, control view of the entire fleet (tracked live at any instant), predictive alerts, reporting & simulations, proof of delivery & signatures, a communication protocol, notifications & tracking for customers to monitor orders live, and a mobile app for on-field workforce.
