IoT Startup Hologram Raises $4.8M in Venture Capital Funding

hologramHologram (formerly known as Konekt), a Chicago, IL-based cellular platform for the Internet of Things, raised $4.8m in venture capital funding.

The round was led by Drive Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to grow the team and scale their cellular network to build new features and products.

Led by Ben Forgan, CEO, Hologram, enables developers and companies of any size to build cellular-connected devices without owning custom engineering cellular infrastructure. The platform allows anyone to connect any device to the internet, to talk to a device and route incoming and outgoing messages, all via a an API, use a cellular development kit, the Dash, to create a new connected device quickly, and management tools to see devices and update their software wirelessly.

Initial customers include Kelloggs, Metromile and Placemeter.
