Haven Raises $11M in Series A Funding

havenHaven, a San Francisco, CA- and Singapore-based provider of a freight procurement platform, raised $11m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Spark Capital with participation from new backer AITV, and existing investors O’Reilly Alpha Tech Ventures, Data Collective and First Round Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Spark Capital’s Kevin Thau joined Haven’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations in Europe and Asia as well as to continue to develop the platform.

Founded in 2014 by Matthew Tillman, CEO, Haven provides a full-service automated freight procurement platform and marketplace. It features an online booking platform for ocean and air services and track-and-trace tools that use AIS (Automatic Identification System) technology to bring real-time location data directly to customers who need increased visibility into their supply chain.
