TourRadar, a Vienna, Austria-based online marketplace for multi-day group tours, raised $6m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Cherry Ventures and Hoxton Ventures with participation from aws Gründerfonds and SpeedInvest.
The company intends to use the funds to grow the team and increase marketing efforts.
Led by Travis Pittman, CEO and co-founder, TourRadar is an online marketplace that partners with over 500 other tour operators to offer multi-day group tours in more than 200 countries, mainly in such markets as Australia, North America, France, Italy and Spain. Travellers can compare and book tours, read reviews and meet other travelers.
The company currently employs 40 people in Vienna, and regional offices in Brisbane, Australia and Toronto, Canada.
