Enterprise Software Company Seismic Raises $40M in Series C Funding

seismic_logoSeismic, a San Diego, CA-based enterprise software company, raised $40m in Series C funding.

The round was led by General Atlantic, which joined JMI Equity and Jackson Square Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Gary Reiner, former Chief Information Officer at GE and Operating Partner at General Atlantic, will join Seismic’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to broaden its platform capabilities and expand its sales and marketing teams to increase its presence in current markets while also developing new key verticals.

Led by Doug Winter, Chief Executive Officer, Seismic provides sales enablement and content management software with allows enterprises to align sales and marketing teams to reach clients. With Seismic’s technology, marketing teams can create, organize, and manage collateral by updating content such as data points, logos, or case studies from various sources. In addition, the platform provides analytics on content performance, enabling marketing and sales teams to implement collateral at optimal points in the sales process.
The company currently serves 175 enterprise customers across the globe spanning the financial services, life sciences, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, and insurance industries.
