Cogitai, an Anaheim, CA-based developer of core artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, received a strategic investment from Sony Corporation.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company will use the funds to hire new people and expand operations.
Founded in September 2015 by Dr. Mark Ring, CEO, Dr. Satinder Singh, Chief Scientist Officer, and Peter Stone, President and COO, Cogitai is committed to developing systems that learn continually from their experience working closely with leaders in the safety and ethics fields to help address the complex network of possible concerns surrounding future AI technologies.
