CloudMinds, a Beijing and Shenzen, China-based provider of intelligent cloud robots, raised $30m in venture capital funding.
According to reports, backers included:
– SoftBank Group International,
– Hon Hai Precision Industry Co Ltd, and
– Walden International and Kaixuan Capital.
The company will invest the proceeds in growing operations. It is hiring.
Led by Huang Xiaoqing, Cloudminds provides robots which leverage a cloud-enabled intelligence engine and a network of mobile sensors to support cloud connected smart machines.
The company employs approx. 100 people in China and in its Tokyo, Japan, and Santa Clara, CA-based offices.
