Claned, a Helsinki, Finland-based edtech company, raised €1.3m in funding.
The round was led by Indian Cross Border Angels (CBA) members.
The company, which has raised €4.0M in total to date, is using the funds to expand in Asia, firstly in India.
Founded in 2013 by Vesa Pertalla, Claned provides an edtech platform that gives students the tools to personlize their learning. The system leverages Artificial Intelligence to understand the individual needs of students, their behaviour and attitude to provide mentor recommendations to improve results.
The company already serves customers in Finland, UK, Spain, Singapore, India, UAE, USA, Vietnam and Indonesia and partners with such companis as Microsoft and Lenovo to deliver learning outside formal education systems.
