Almax Analytics, a London, UK-based news analytics system for capital markets, raised a seed funding round.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Backers included executives from MCSI, Aviva plc, the Fintech SEIS Fund and Jonas Dromberg.
The company intends to use the funds for growth and development of its technology.
Led by Balazs Klemm, Dr Peter Sarlin, and Karen Bertoli, Almax Analytics provides a news analytics system powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology that puts information into context to allow traders, portfolio managers and analysts to discern relevant news and understand its impact thereby executing leveraging qualitative and quantitative results.
The company has R&D in Finland.
