Veestro, a Newbury Park, Calif.-based gourmet plant-based meal delivery service, secured $1.5m in funding.
The round was led by M&A Capital, and Starcorp International S.A.
The company intends to use the funds to build and equip a new 20,000 sq. ft. production facility, establish a new distribution center on the East coast, support marketing efforts, and finance a select few strategic hires.
Created and launched in 2013 by brother/sister duo Mark Fachler and Monica Klausner, Veestro provides a whole-foods, plant-based diet for the overworked and overscheduled individual. It delivers a complete solution including healthy-plant based meals, created from all-natural, preservative-free ingredients, ready to heat and eat. Meals are high in protein and fiber.
