Tokopedia Raises $147M in Funding

tokopediaTokopedia, an Indonesian C2C marketplace, reportedly raised $147m in funding. 

The round brought total funding to $247.7m to date.

The backers were not disclosed.

Co-founded in February 2009 by CEO William Tanuwijaya and Leontinus Alpha Edison, Tokopedia is an online marketplace enabling small businesses to open and manage their online stores for free, ensuring a comfortable experience for customers and secure online transactions.
The company was previously backed by Sequoia Capital, SoftBank Capital, CyberAgent Ventures, East Ventures, SBI Investment, and netprice.com.
