Time Out Acquires HallStreet

timeout-logoTime Out Group, a London, UK-based platform that enables people to experience the best of a city, acquired HallStreet, a Barcelona, Spain-based geo-mapping startup.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Co-founded by CEO Alfredo Ouro Villaraviz and CTO Antonio Rodríguez de la Torre, HallStreet provides an interactive events and travel planner based on maps.

The deal allows Time Out to combines meta-search with interactive ecommerce. Following the acquisition, Ouro Villaraviz and Rodríguez de la Torre have relocated from their offices in Barcelona and San Francisco to Time Out’s global headquarters in London, as Time Out Senior Vice President of Product (reporting to the CEO Noel Penzer) and Director, Technology – Travel at Time Out (reporting to the SVP, Engineering Jim Beattie), respectively.
HallStreet’s engineers will continue to work from Barcelona as Time Out employees.
