PrideBites, an Austin, TX-based company that allows people to personalize pet products, raised approx. $700K in funding.
ATX Seed Ventures, BlueStel Ventures, Tucker Max invested $500k while sharks Lori Greiner and Robert Herjavec – during ABC’s The Shark Tank – agreed to invest $200k (in exchange of 20%).
The company intends to use the funds to improve its back-end personalization and fulfillment platform, grow its sales and marketing efforts, and expand into additional pet verticals.
Co-founded in 2012 by Steven Blustein (CEO), and Sean Knecht (CMO), Sam Lampe, and Ting Liu, PrideBites allows customers to customize and personalize a wide variety of durable products, including toys, beds, and leashes with their pets names and pictures.
The company has plans to roll out several new products over the next 90 days.
