Influenster, a NYC-based product discovery and reviews platform, closed an $8m round of funding.
Ebates, the online cashback shopping and subsidiary of global Internet services company Rakuten, made the investment. In conjunction with the funding, Ken Hirschman, Ebates’ Vice President of Strategic Alliances, will join Influenster’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to advance its product discovery platform and expand operations.
