ClearTax Raises $1.3M in Seed Funding

cleartax-logoClearTax, a Bengaluru, and New Delhi, India-based provider of tech solutions for individuals to e-file their income tax returns, raised $1.3m in seed funding.

Backers included PayPal co-founder Max Levchin and Scott Banister.

The company intends to use the funds to funds to launch new products as well as to expand the team.

ClearTax provides a tax filing platform available via the website and mobile app. The solution allows users to upload their Form-16 and ClearTax prepares their tax return automatically in a few minutes. It is also used by over 10,000 CA firms, and over 220 businesses and enterprises across the country.
ClearTax is a Y Combinator company.
