Cardiac Insight Closes $2.5M Series C Funding

Cardiac Insight, Inc., a Kirkland, WA-based medical device company, closed a $2.5m Series C funding.

The backers remained undisclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate market penetration of its CardeaScreen™ product and finalize the development of the its proprietary wearable sensor technology.

Led by Brad Harlow, CEO, Cardiac Insight focuses on advanced cardiac and respiratory sensing and computing technologies. CardeaScreen helps identify young athletes who may be at risk for sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) via a 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) exam, which takes less than 20 seconds.
The company’s patented wireless hand-held device and advanced analysis software then assists physicians to determine the need for further evaluation prior to participation in strenuous activities.
The company is a University of Washington spinoff.
