AkitaBox, a Madison, Wisconsin-based provider of an application for proactive building management, raised $1.1m in seed funding.
The round was led by Rock Oak Capital Partners LLC, the investment vehicle of Practice Velocity, a medical software and services company based in Machesney Park.
The company will use the funds to continue sales growth and to enhance its product offering.
Founded in August 2015 by Todd Hoffmaster, CEO, AkitaBox provides building operators in healthcare, property management, and education with a SaaS application to reduce manual data entry and optimize maintenance and capital planning. The Wisconsin C-Corp company is a recent graduate of the gener8tor accelerator program.
