Trusted Raises $2.1M in Seed Funding

logo_trustedTrusted, a San Francisco, CA-based platform for parents to connect with child care providers, raised $2.1m in seed funding.

Backers included Slow Ventures, Crunchfund, Metamorphic Ventures, Techstars Ventures, KPCB Edge, Great Oaks, Naval Ravikant, and Semil Shah.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations to other cities soon.

Led by Anand Iyer, Vivian Chan, Richard Combs, Alex Skyrl and Cindy Ngo, Trusted operates a platform that connects parents seeking child care services with a staff of qualified, vetted, and trained child care providers. Through a mobile app, parents can arrange and confirm child care appointments (including same day) and make payments.

The company charges $25 per hour for one child, and $5 per hour for each additional child with no subscription or monthly fees.
It is currently serving San Francisco.
