Good_Culture_Wordmark_Barn_12_1_15_OL Logogood culture, an Irvine, California-based food company focused on cottage cheese, raised $2.1m in strategic funding.

The round was led by CAVU Venture Partners, and 301 INC, General Mills’ business development and venture unit.

The company wil use the funds to continue to expand operations.

Co-founded by Jesse Merrill and Anders Eisner, good culture offers organic savory and sweet cottage cheese varieties, including Strawberry Chia, Blueberry Açaí Chia, Sundried Tomato, Kalamata Olive, and Classic, sold in 5.3 ounce recyclable packs.
The products are currently available in Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, and other finer grocers nationwide.
