Flute Office, a UK-based manufacturer of sustainable furniture for the workplace, completed a £1.1m Series A funding round.
The round was led by NCL Innovation via Kent County Council’s Discovery Park Technology Investment Fund in partnership with private capital group 24Haymarket.
The company will use the funds to scale its manufacturing operation in the UK.
Founded by Rod Fountain and Mary Dorrington Ward in 2009, FluteOffice manufactures sustainable office furniture & fittings, made from engineered recycled paper.
The company, which now counts M&S, the NHS, and Imperial College among its blue chip client list, will relocate from its current base on an eco farm in Surrey to a new centre in West Sussex and a manufacturing plant at Discovery Park in Kent.
