Edgewater Markets Receives $30M Growth Equity Minority Investment

EdgewaterLogoEdgewater Markets, a New York City-based provider of electronic foreign exchange aggregation and distribution solutions to global institutional clients, received a $30m growth equity minority investment.

The round was led by FTV Capital. In conjunction with the transaction, FTV Capital partner Brad Bernstein will join the company’s board of directors while partner Kyle Griswold will join as a board observer.

The company intends to use the funds to enhance its technology platform, grow the sales team and expand its global reach.

Founded in 2009 by Alex Scarsini, President, Edgewater provides global institutional clients with an electronic foreign exchange platform featuring price engines and aggregation tools that enable liquidity to be delivered and fully integrated into a client’s existing systems. The company, which offers liquidity through both white label solutions and proprietary ECNs, also has offices in London, Singapore, Mexico City, Los Angeles and Chicago.
