JetSmarter, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based private air travel app, raised $30m in funding.
Members of the Saudi Royal Family invested $26.1m in this new round, which also saw the participation from other business executives.
The company will use the funds for continuous technology upgrades, global penetration in the USA, Middle East, Asia and Europe and additional services offered.
Led by Sergey Petrossov, founder and CEO, JetSmarter provides a mobile marketplace that connects travelers to private jets from their smartphones. The app, which offers instant pricing and availability for private jets worldwide, is available for iOS and Android.
The company had closed a $20M Series B round in July of 2015.
