Invoice Cloud, a Braintree, MA-based provider of Electronic Bill Presentment with Payment (EBPP) solutions, acquired Marlborough, MA-based Metropolitan Communications, LLC, a former competitor.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Led by Todd Johnson, former President of MCC and now Director of Technology at Invoice Cloud, MCC provides an e-bill product used by more than 100 local government clients for e-billing, online payments and bill processor tax services. Additionally, it offers a SaaS platform for clients to manage school, recreation and community activities online.
Led by Bob Bennett, CEO, currently has over 650 clients in 39 states in the USA. The acquisition will allow the company to extend its e-billing and e-payment platform with MCC’s e-bill product and client interface and expand both client bases across the country.
