Hired, a San Francisco, CA-based career marketplace for the world’s knowledge workers, raised $40m in Series C funding.
The round was led by Lumia Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate international expansion (also via a series of strategic acquisitions) and advance the technology that powers the marketplace.
Led by CEO Mehul Patel, Hired provides a platform that allows users to receive objective guidance throughout the interview process from a dedicated talent advocate, and to compare new opportunities side by side to make next career move with confidence.
Employers get access to a hand-picked pool of candidates who are interested in new roles, as well as transparency into competing offers.
In addition to the funding, the company acquired Paris, France-based Breaz and Melbourne, Australia-based Jobbop. It is also expanding into Asia, starting with Singapore.
Hired is also backed by Crosslink Capital, Sierra Ventures, SoftTech VC and Sherpa Foundry.
