Deep Optics Raises $4M in Series A Funding

deepopticsDeep Optics, a Petach Tikva, Israel-based maker of dynamic focal eyeglasses, raised $4m in Series A funding.

Backers included strategic investor Essilor, Taiwan-based Atomics 14 Ventures and private investors including Saar Wilf, Deep Optics’s chairman and first investor.

Led by Yariv Haddad, CEO, Yoav Yadin, CTO, and Alex Alon, Chief Scientist Officer, Deep Optics is the inventor of Omnifocals, dynamic focal eyeglasses based on its proprietary and patent-pending Liquid Crystal lens technology. The glasses are designed to help (the two billion) people requiring multifocal vision correction see the world naturally.
The company is also exploring additional applications for its adaptive electronic lens technology including AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) systems.
