SprinkleBit, a San Diego, CA-based social investing platform, raised $10m in Series A funding.
Venture capital firm GTC made the investment.
The company intends to use the funds to grow adoption of its platform.
Led by Alexander Wallin, CEO, SprinkleBit.com is an online social community and financial web site which offers access to brokerage services through its trading platform operated by Equinox Securities, Inc., a securities Broker Dealer and Member FINRA / SIPC. The company also features a virtual simulator and education tools to allow users to learn markets from experienced investors.
The platform is currently used by approx. 10.000 users.
