Noodle Markets Secures $3M in Funding

noodlemarkets_logoNoodle Markets, a New York-based edtech startup operating a K-12 procurement platform, secured $3m in funding.

The round was led by Rethink Education with participation from Palm Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Rick Segal, a co-founder and managing partners at Rethink, joined Noodle Markets’ board.

The company intends to use the funds to further the development of its platform and to build out the sales and customer success teams.

Led by Nicole Neal, CEO, Noodle Markets operates a a K-12 procurement marketplace for school districts and education agencies to connect with sellers of educational tools. The platform, currently open to K-12 vendors, who can create free product and service profiles, will open to K-12 educators in early 2016.

Noodle Markets is the third company founded under The Noodle Companies (the others being Noodle.com and Noodle Partners), led by education entrepreneur John Katzman, who previously founded The Princeton Review and 2U.
