Estimote Raises $10.7M in Series A Funding

estimoteEstimote, a New York City- and Kraków, Poland-based developer of an analytics and engagement platform based on sensors, raised $10.7m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Javelin Venture Partners with participation from Digital Garage, Homebrew, Box Group and Commerce Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Noah J. Doyle and Alex Gurevich from Javelin will join Estimote’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate innovation and expand operations in New York, in Krakow, and San Francisco office.

Co-founded by Jakub Krzych, Steve Cheney, Lukasz Kostka, Estimote provides beacons and indoor location software to allow developers worldwide to build mobile experiences in such areas as proximity marketing, contactless payments, in-venue analytics, education, healthcare, transportation, hospitality, etc.
