Boox Seeks Last Mile Logistics Startups

logo_booxBoox, a Milan, Italy-based certified accelerator, is seeking digital startups in the field of transports and smart logistics.

Founded in 2012 by Andrea di Camillo and Marco Magnocavallo, Boox has a portfolio of approximately 10 e-commerce and SaaS startups including Cortilia, Tannico, Shoppable, Velasca, Misiedo and Iubenda.
Led by newly named CEO Antonio Perini, the firm now intends to pick the opportunity given by the transports and smart logistics targeting projects in the “Last Mile”, the last leg of online delivery, the more challenging one ending up at the consumer’s home or business, representing the key step to continue to develop the e-commerce sector.
The first backed project is Milkman Deliveries, a Milan-based startup that offers online stores the opportunity to significantly reduce shopping cart abandonment and increase both profitability and customer satisfaction with the introduction of new checkout experiences.

Following the appointment of Perini as CEO, Marco Magnocavallo will continue to supervise portfolio startups and lead eBoox, the eCommerce platform of the group.
